The Baking Life Of Amelie Day
by Vanessa Curtis

The book really shows how hard it is to struggle with cystic fibrosis. It has benefits but the cons outnumber the pros, That's why I love how Vanessa showed that struggle. This book has nerve wracking moments and heart warming moments, ups and downs. It really plays with your feelings. If you're ready for and emotional rollercoaster pick up this book! Pass th- the tissues. ;)

In the Time of the Butterflies

This was an incredibly powerful and emotional book that captivated me with its storytelling and historical detail. I enjoyed the realistic way in which Alvarez depicts the Mirabal sisters -- the writing felt deeply personal. I would recommend this to anyone, especially if you like historical fiction.

Super quick read, though it was a bit hard for me to get into. Preached a good message of taking chances, and following your "personal legacy," but it felt a little repetitive to me.

The Mysterious Benedict Society

The Mysterious Benedict Society is a favorite of mine. I love the way Reynie Muldon, Sticky Washington, Kate Wetherall, and Constance Contraire are so alike but so different at the same time. Kate is agile, Reynie is clever, Sticky is like a walking encyclopedia, and Constance is so darn stubborn but they still make an amazing team. I totally recommend this book/series
