I always learn a lot about cooking when I read Food Wars! I especially enjoyed this volume, as they talked about the components of spicy food as our protagonist challenged one of the Council of Ten. I also liked how they showed the background of the council, and how dedicated to cooking and the sciences of their specialty they were.

A great spellbinding book that reels you in and leaves you craving for more books, with a great plot. I recommend this book.

The First Rule of Punk is definitely a good example of a book about being yourself and self-acceptance. It really shows how Malu goes through this obstacle. She goes through some ups and downs, but she gets through it and you can too!

It was a difficult and slow read, but I worked on it an hour or two a week for a while. It was okay. I didn't really understand why the protagonist was so anxious to get into the castle, or why his lady friend was so into him, or many things at all during the reading, but it was mildly okay.
